The Birmingham Stallions have made a change at kicker, signing former Auburn standout Anders Carlson.
The move comes after a shaky start from Jonathan Garibay, who missed three extra points through the first three games of the season — two in the opener and one in the most recent matchup. Inconsistency, along with concerns about range, appear to have led to the decision.
Carlson, a former Auburn kicker, most recently spent time with the New York Jets before being released in June 2025 in favor of former Stallions kicker Harrison Mevis.
When asked about the kicking struggles last Friday, head coach AJ McCarron kept it simple:
“This business is a business of production.”
The Stallions (1–2) will look to bounce back this weekend as they host Orlando (3–0) in Birmingham, with kickoff set for 3:00 PM.
