The 2025 NBA draft has concluded and that means two-way player contracts are ready to be signed.
So far, 3 players from either Alabama or Auburn have been signed to a two-way NBA contract. Meaning they will split time in the G-League and the NBA.
Dylan Cardwell (Auburn/Sacramento Kings/Stockton Kings)
Mark Sears (Alabama/Milwaukee Bucks/Wisconsin Herd)
Miles Kelly (Auburn/Dallas Mavericks/Texas Legends)
Grant Nelson (Alabama/Brooklyn Nets) signed an Exhibit‑10 (training-camp) deal with the Brooklyn Nets—giving him a chance to earn a two-way spot if he impresses during camp.
In the NBA, a two-way contract allows a player to split their time between the NBA team and its G-League affiliate. Each NBA team can have up to three players on two-way contracts.
The Squadron played Brooklyn’s G-League team on the road twice last season so maybe they schedule a home game this season with the Long Island Nets.
Hunter Dickinson (Kansas/New Orleans)
The 7’2 former Kansas Jayhawk will more than likely see playing time on the Birmingham Squadron. The Squadron haven’t seen a player like Dickinson since the legendary Zach Hankins in 2022.
The Birmingham Squadron have had 𝟭𝟵 call-ups in 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 seasons in Birmingham.
