There were two winners at this year‘s SEC baseball tournament: Vanderbilt and all 159,984 fans that showed up to watch elite baseball in Hoover.

It has not been officially announced, but it appears that the 2025 SEC Tournament was the 4th highest attended SEC baseball tournament of all-time.

This years’s tournament was also the 4th highest attended championship game with a total of 13,518 fans at the Hoover Met.

A total of 159,984 fans attended from Tuesday through Sunday and were able to enjoy the upgraded concourse and seating. The replacement of 12 bleacher sections to chairbacks was just one of the many upgrades the Hoover Met has accomplished in the past year.

As far as attendance goes, the new single elimination format means that there was one fewer session. Plus, you have to acknowledge that Auburn and Alabama played their respective games in the morning.

Despite these factors, Hoover proved yet again that they are the rightful home of the SEC Baseball Tournament. Hoover remains the most central location for all SEC teams and has proven they can handle large crowds. Another massive success by all accounts.

The contract to keep the tournament in Hoover has been renewed through 2028.
